How should I prepare to get tattooed?
First, be sure you have your documents handy!
If you are over 18, all you need is your drivers' license. If you are under 18, you need a photo i.d., your birth certificate, a parent or guardian, and their photo i.d.!

Second, make sure you're ready! You should be well rested, you should eat shortly before your appointment, and you should be dressed in comfy clothes which allow easy access to the area to be tattooed. (PAJAMA DAY!!!)

Finally, come prepared for comfort and distraction! Bring a drink, snacks, your phone or tablet, and a set of headphones. Many people also bring a small pillow or comfort item!
We prefer that you come alone, (extra folks in the procedure area can be distracting for your artist) but you may bring one friend to keep you entertained; if more accompany you they will be asked to stay in the lobby.

How do I care for my new tattoo?
FIRST, WASH YOUR HANDS! wash hands thoroughly before touching your new tattoo. It is an open wound, after all, and you don't want to end up with an infection!
Leave your bandage on 1-4 hours ; immediately upon removal, wash gently with your fingertips or palms, using a mild soap and warm water.
Gently blot dry with a single-use paper towel and air dry for 15 minutes or so; then apply a THIN coat of lotion or aftercare balm to the tattoo; I DO NOT recommend aquaphor or other petroleum products as they are easy to put on too thick. over-application of lotions and ointments can actually do more harm than good!
repeat this process 3-5 times a day for the first two days, and once or twice a day for a week or so after.
